My wife and I are thinking of buying our first home. Unfortunately the house we like has forced air heat which I know can be hard on those of us with dry eye. I've heard that you can get force air humidification systems for fairly cheap but I don't know how well they work and you are still left with that air blowing around. Do you think forced air is manageable or should I hold out for a house with radiators?

Dry Eye and Heating
Hi
I live in the UK where most of the heating here is of the rad kind, we do have some vented systems but they are rarer.
When I go into any blowy airy heaters I personally find it totally intolerable as do many others, so for what my advice is worth, stick to rads if you can. Even with humidifiers I personally do not think that you will have as much luck dampening the air as you might have with rads and humidifiers. I am about to dig out small oil filled plug in rads as I am having a horrible flare and cannot tolerate any big heat.
