  • Air Cooler ?

    Hi all,

My evaporative dry eyes and the very warm room I work in during the day....don't mix!

I know from experience it's a great feeling to walk from a warm room to a cool one....my eyes immediately feel the benefit.

Anyways, I've been looking for a desktop cooler.......something that will blow fairly lightly a nice cool breeze.

Anyone had any experience of such a device.....where can I get one?

PS. Mains powered and long lasting would be ideal.

    Ian.

Ian, anything blowing a "nice cool breeze" would have a drying effect on me. I understand about the needing cool air, but a breezy thing might do more harm than good?

      IanJ,

Are you talking about a humidifier perhaps? Some nice person in this group recommended a little "mister" called "TheraMist" which I purchased very recently for my office. It is sold by Discovery Channel and you can by it at www.discovery.com. I bought it for $19.95 plus shipping. It also changes colors and is very cool.

      Here is the link:

I've just used it one or two days at work so I don't know how much benefit it is yet, but I believe I can already tell a difference...

        Humidifier

I bought a 'personal humidifier' from Sharper Image. I think it was on sale for $14.99. It's quite small....about 6 or 7 inches high and maybe 4 inches wide. The moist mist seems to help.
