I have tried to find a humidifier in New Zealand but all I get is "You mean a dehumidifier don't you?" I have managed to get a hygrometer to measure humidity and was amazed to find it went below 20% in the car with the air con on. Rebecca - is their any chance I could get one through the dry eye shop? Is there a small one that can be used for travelling? Also it would be great if there was a humidifier that could be used in the car. Then I would be happier going on longer car trips. At the moment I put wet facecloths over the air conditioning vents - and go without the cool air as long as possible but it gets up to over 40 deg C especially when the car has been parked in the sun!!

Travel humidifier
Dotanne,
I bought this little humidifier for my two week trip to Mayo. http://www.amazon.com/Medisana-Hah15.../dp/B000AF78KU It packs in a suitcase and is about the size of a half gallon of milk. It also disassembles so that you can poke it into the suitcase.
When I first got it, I was really disappointed because I thought it would never last thru a night so we set it up for a test run before we left. It ran a good 9 1/2 hours and while we were on the trip it really worked well. Even in the dry Minn. cold air and hot hotel rooms it helped a lot. I don't know if Rebecca can get them or not. But I bought mine from Amazon.com
