Hi everyone,
I need to buy ladies' m.e.g.s. I've been to the SeeFit(?) website, I've even written to contact page but haven't heard back yet (it's been 2 weeks,)---Do any ladies here have m.e.g.s.? The website only shows what brown, red and white (which they call "black") look like. I was feeling stunned by having to wear them when my mom made an angel's suggestion--for the price of just the moisture shields (about $50,) why not get a couple/few colors to swap out. Being on disability every penny counts, but it would really help to maybe not feel so freaky (esp. with my orthopedic shoes and sun protective clothing, too.) The colors I'm most interested in are "Claret," "Lavender," "Red," and "Brown." Does anybody here have these or know where I can see pictures of people wearing these colors?
I have Sjorgren's, RA, Lupus and a slew of other severe autoimmune diseases. I've finally found a very good cornea specialist (yea!)--he's tested me 3 or 4 times with the (oh, I should know the name of this test, but I don't just now...) paper-in-the-eye test for tears I have no measurable tears. He's tested my eyes for sensitivity as well (as I've had diminished sensation,) I've responded, but it takes quite a bit. I feel very lucky to have finally found a sensitive, caring, hopefully quite capable cornea specialist. M.E.G.s are a definite, as are some form of punctal plugging (b/c my eyes are so severe, my dr. wants to cauterize two of the tear ducts that drain away the tears--Has anyone here had that done? He says there might be considerable tearing, almost troublesome. Right now I'm cheering every natural tear I'm lucky to have.) Additionally, I have something called chromatic aberration, which accounts for the nasty funhouse mirror look everything has...and why I haven't been able to get glasses for 7 years now.
So I thank you, a tremendous lot, for any help you might be able to share.
Thanks so much!

Oh! Here's something I learned that might help someone here. My eyes don't make tears really and I've been using Genteal Severe for the last year (which I felt fine doing, I got no relief, but at least the box said it was preservative free/neutralized in the eye.) Here's what everybody should know: ***If your eyes aren't making tears, the preservative in Genteal (and in other similar products) cannot be neutralized. Do yourself a favor and buy eye drops that are already preservative free.
