Will this go away if I discontinue using them (they are from the harley davidson store, sunglasses with a foam cushion that forms a seal around my eyes)? This looks awful! thanks,
Tiffany
Hi,
I don't think I'm allergic to the foam. I stopped using them a few days ago and the puffiness went away. I think the seal is too tight against my face, so maybe it was forming a sort of suction against my skin. When I take them off I have rings around my eyes from them, is this what happens to everyone when they take off their foam-lined sunglasses?
Thanks!
That's unusual but it happens to some people. Puffiness would probably come from skin reacting in some way to the foam as Jesslin said (not necessarily allergy). Also some people have more 'impressible' skin around the eyes than others.

This only happens to me if I've been pushing then onto my face really snugly (ex. if outdoors on a windy day). On a day like that, I just don't take them off in front of strangers
Most of the time I don't need to push them extra firmly onto my face, so they don't leave circles under my eyes (all I have then is the usual dark circles that I've had all my life... man, do I ever miss wearing eye makeup to cover those up!!) When I do have to push them on firmly, those extra circles usually go away within a couple of hours or so...
Anyhow, if yours always do that, maybe it's just the way your face fits the sunglasses? or do you tend to push them on really firmly? If it's the latter, then hopefully with time your eyes will improve and you can wear them a bit more loosely, and not get those circles from them.
