    Hello everybody

Today I saw my Doc and he gave me some "glasses" a Doctor gave him in Amsterdam. They are for day and Night use and are called "ORTOLUX large". the good thing is: you can see through them and read with them. okay they probably look quite stupid.....
I dont know how to buy them but I will try them and write here how they work. there is an Email adress on the package: http://www.pietrasantapharma.it/ I looked up the website but it's italian ;-)

In the upper right hand corner of the website is an area where "English" can be selected.

      Alexandra,

Do you mean the bubble bandage thingies on this page?

      http://www.pietrasantapharma.it/defa...&grc=66&grl=71

(Whoops - the link doesn't go directly there - have to click on page 2 then it's the last product)

They look similar to the Medtronic products over here.

These look cool! Do you sleep in them?

Yes, I would feel rather stupid in them, but I've resorted at times to taping my eyes shut. These would scare the daylights out of my kids...at least until they got used to them. They'd be great for going out with my kids on Halloween night, too. I'd get good protection from the cool night air and I could be good and frightening.

            Hi Dianat

Yes, I sleep with them. But I found out at the pharmacy that they are VERY expensive. you can only use them once. And my doc only gave me one to try how it works. but it was a really nice feeling. and they feel very comfortable to sleep with. you can even sleep on your stomach. i will ask my doc next time i see him if my insurance would pay.
I guess i would use them to watch tele/read a book before sleeping ....
Yep, they look sooo stupid ;-) so perfect for halloween ;-)

              alexandra:
              2 questins for you:
              1. Do these "googles" get foggy when you wear them ?
              2. Is there any difference when you read or watch TV with these googles or without them ? I have problems when i read, because my eyes get tired. Do you think my eyes won't get tired if i will wear these googles ?

              Thank you for your answers

                Hi Brula

Yes, unfortunately they do get a bit foggy....
But it feels very very nice to wear them. I only had one piece (not tweo!!) to try them out so I only wore it on one eye. so I could still see without "fog" on the other one. But I could DEFINITELY tell a huge (!) difference between my two eyes!
