  • finally got wiley x goggles, but there are problems

I have just got JP-2 with prescriptions, but it certainly doesn't look good. The lens just pop out a lot and they look so thick. I then called my optician and they told me they won't look better even if the lens are changed into high index pair(thin lens) due to the curve, the size and high prescription of the lens. Man, i feel like there is no big difference compared to wearing swimming goggles. my prescriptions are around -400.

another problem is that the foam of the goggles are pushing my eyeball and my feel painful with it on my face. it feels like having a swimming goggles on. my optician said its common to have these problems. Does anyone else have these troubles? how do you conquer'em?

Im trying to use this baby in my classes esp when air-conditioner is on(im a teacher), but with its ugly appearance and the pain, I dont know whether I could make it..
    I believe I can fly!

    Hello robinzb,

It sounds like the goggles don't fit your face well. Were you able to try them on before purchasing them? If you decide to keep them, push your optician to make you a more acceptable appearing pair! I am sure they weren't cheap, you need to be satisfied with your purchase. Your prescription is not very high, they ought to be able to design curved lenses that look and fit better.

    Good luck,

    Lynne

      Hi robinzb,

I am dry eye patient near by you living in hong kong.
I just now search for info. on wraparound glasses.
But its too bad that I got -10D (1000degree) short sight...

I would like to ask where you get your wiley x glass? And you get the len from manuaturer or by your optician shop? -400 is very low, but your glasses have "pop out" and also make you pain?

Unimageable for my -10D, if it can made, it would like a google with 2 eggs in front of the eye? =.=
