wrinkled conjunctiva in morning

anyone else notice this....conjunctiva is significantly wrinkled in morning. presumably because my eyelid is sticking to my conjunctiva at night and when i blink initially in the morning it yanks on it.

clearly some form of chalasis but i wouldnt be thrilled to rush to surgery

Hi I'm new at this so hopefully I'm doing this right. I have been suffering for over Ten years. Read your statement about wrinkled Conjunktiva I feel your pain! Has anyone suggested surgery? They have for me. I don't know what to do? Punctal Occlusion made it worse! Im not trusting much.

Sealing puncta is contraindicated with chalasis. I read it will make things worse (as you experienced, Bridgett).

I've also read that a certain amount of chalasis is normal is you age. But some doctors will recommend surgery - AMT (Amniotic Membrane Transplantation). Maybe solely because they perform the surgery?

Anyway, I would get a bunch of different opinions on what to do. The poking sensation can be very upsetting, I know.
