  • Me-wrapped in Saran Wrap

A little OT humor here. I must have lost my Tranquileyes while traveling in Northern Michigan over Memorial Day weekend. No big problem, because I thought I had tucked them in a pocket of a travel case, cosmetic bag etc. Well, I'm used to wearing them and a couple of weeks into this, I'm not feeling good about the missing TE and my eyes are really dry from the night.

I kept putting off ordering a new pair. I don't know why, as the others have served me well for at least 2 or 3 years. For about the last week, I put the Saran Wrap to good use. It's not bad, but not fun for someone who gets up multiple times at night. Like, where did I put my piece of Saran Wrap? Go to the kitchen and tear off another piece and get it all wrinkled around my hand.

So, finally a couple of days ago, I sat down and emailed Rebecca about 3 emails all at the same time that I needed a new pair. I found that I had at least 3 sets of the foam inserts, but no extra goggles. I got my new TE today and had to try them on for a nap right away. I will feel at one with myself tonight with my goggles back in place. Next thing is to find the old ones so I have a spare. Lucy

Amen to that! I haven't gone one night without them since I bought them which has got to be at least 3 years ago.

Well, Calli, I thought I was special because mine lasted so long! If my old ones don't turn up soon, I'll get a spare pair so I won't be in this situation again. L.

Lucy, the thread title is so funny! I knew it was going to be about eye protection, but it sounds like the 1970s housewife thing!

I actually bought a new pair of TE's back in February, for a couple of reasons. One was that I wanted a traveling pair and the other was that I wanted a spare for when I want to moisten the foam and relax in the evenings but still sleep with dry goggles. It's been working out well.

Glad that your new ones came!

WooHoo....I found my "old" tranquileyes. They were in a plastic bag on the floor of the car. The colored side was down and the black blended in with my6 floor mat. I'm so happy I have a spare now.

My "old" ones are likely 3 years old and they are still in great shape. I change the foam occasionally and wash them carefully and not too often. I just bought the mini which will help keep them clean too. Lucy
