  • Question about mites & tea tree oil

Not sure what got me thinking about this but ...
Does the tea tree oil repel the mites or kill them?
If it just repels them, where do they go and if you wear goggles to bed, can they escape?

tea tree oil kills mites, fungi, bacteria etc. it can kill antibiotic resistant bacterias.

i was put on it by a "hunch" my doctor had but was wrong. I kind of liked the way it made my skin feel.

also note that they are microscopically small. they can fit inside your hair follicles. they can also fit under whatever you're wearing on your face.

Hi Socratese, Here is a link to a column I wrote a couple of years ago on Demodex Mites & Dry Eyes. You will have to cut and paste into your browser. http://www.biosyntrx.com/articles.ph...rint_version=1 I spoke at length with Scheffer Tsing, MD about Demodex before writing this column. Dr. Tsing is the director of The Ocular Surface Center in Florida and the most published researcher on this subject. Good luck. Ellen Troyer
