  • Lidscrub questions

I bought this stuff that says "eye scrub" from the eye area at the drugstore. It's made by Novartis. There are 30 pads for $11.99. I think the same as you have Lucy. Is everything in it preservative free does anyone know? It says to use 1 for each eye but then it lasts 2 weeks only. How long do you guys rub it on your lids? I wonder if it is better than using makeup remover? Because I have a lot of makeup remover at home from various brands that I wonder if I can use as a scrub? One has Vit E in it and is oil form. Others are Ponds or other brands that have little cloths that foam up. As far as saline solution for eye washes I have seen 3 brands between a few stores and 2 of the 3 have preservatives. The only one that does not has 6 big vials in it but despite being big once you open it, you have to toss it after one use. And that is $6 for the whole thing, $1 each use. Is there anywhere online I can purchase a cheaper one preservative free? Thanks!

If I am out of these, I'll use Q-tip moistened with Saline and run the Q-tip over the edge of the eyelid lashline. There is much info on the bb about using diluted Baby Shampoo and cotton balls as scrubs, too. Some people find these a bit harsh. They are more economical than the "Eye-Scrub" by Novartis!

You would use lid scrubs of any kind after washing your face and/or removing any eye makeup. Be sure to rinse well after you do the scrubs.

I have several products in this category listed on the Lid Scrubs page. If anyone knows of more, please let me know and I can add them.
