Does anybody have any ideas about dandruff and how it might affect dry eye? I mean... blepharitis is itchy & flaky and so is dandruff. Dandruff isn't right on the eyes but the scalp's pretty close! Any thoughts?

Dandruff can be confused with excema and those types of autoimmune dermatological problems can cause blepharitis and certain types of allergic conjunctivitis. Also, the dry eyes and dry skin and scalp (which can produce flaking on the skin and scalp) can be a symptom of low thyroid.
If you haven't already, maybe a visit to your primary care to rule out any systemic reasons for your dry eyes and flaky scalp?
"Posterior blepharitis affects the inner eyelid (the moist part that makes contact with the eye) and is caused by problems with the oil (meibomian) glands in this part of the eyelid. Two skin disorders can cause this form of blepharitis: rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp (scalp dandruff). "
