    Ocusoft Foaming Cleanser-Extra Strength

I've been using this for the past week and I have had no burning which surprised me since everything else makes them burn. My eyelids look and feel much better.

      ocusoft foaming cleanser

      That's great!

I met the man who formulated it the other day at ASCRS. Looking forward to trying it myself.

I am looking forward to seeing what people say about this new occusoft product. I am using sterilid and the rice baggy at the moment. I got one recently from the dry eye shop. I am doing ok with these but am always on the look out for other stuff that might be better.

I got my sterilid through mail- order the other day
I'm not sure about it !
          First time felt fine
Second time burned and made the eyelids feel dry , so i put on some cosmetic eyelid gel that used to suit me before i had DE - It contains camomile and cucumber which i thought might sooth - I had trouble all day after that
After reading all those glowing reports maybe i should persevere
I note Dr Latkany is not very enthusiastic about it p115 of his book - He says it can help if used correctly but describes it as "superficial cleansing" and does not take the place of his method of expressing the glands
That influenced me and i had decided to use it once a day in the AM and do Dr Latkanys method at night

I think that lid hygiene and meibomian gland expression (through heat and/or manual expression) are two separate but interrelated issues, so many of us need to do both.

For those who have meibomian gland dysfunction as a result of blepharitis and other eyelid conditions, close attention to lid hygiene may be very important as a preventive.

I have used this product for 4 days now. The first day I thought it was great and noticed a marked difference. Now after 4 days I have noticed that it makes my eyelids feel and look a great deal better. However, it makes my ocular surface sting and my eyes appear a little more red than usual. I have even tried just washing the very outer layers of my eyelids with but it is still making my eyes sting. Will keep using for another 2 or 3 days and then may have to stop.

Little disappointed as I had heard a lot of good things including from my opth.
