warm compresses

i was just wondering. could it be possible that if you have a blepharitis you are constantly contaminating yourself with bacteria that are on a warm compress which is used on a daily basis? in other words how often do you need to wash the warm compress to avoid this.or are any present bacteria killed by the heat of te microwave?

Steaming your eyes reduces the possibility of such contamination

I use a clean washcloth every time, and so far, it's been alright.
