Hi!
I'm 30 and suffering from MGD. I've read many of the posts on this site and I can really recognize my own story in alot of other peoples. It took me "many" (everything is relative) years to finally get the MGD diagnosed (I live in Scandinavia and had to travel to the US). Now to my my question. I've tried different ways of doing a hot compress wet towel, rice bag etc. The one I find working the best is the rice bag. The problem is that I haven't succeded in doing any hot compresses for a longer period of time since the area around my eyes (and also my lids) get really dry and irritated. Right after they feel a lot better from the massage but after a while that changes. Has anyone else experienced this?

First I tried a wet towel 3 times a day but after a while that dried out the area around the eye. I just started with the rice bag but I think I must have overheated it. Once the redness goes away I will try doing it twice a day and do as you suggested with either a glas of water or a wet cloth under
