Wet or Dry Heat Compresses?

I prefer using moist heat as a compress rather than dry heat. I just purchased the orange Eye Spa pad. I was thinking that I could soak the orange cover, and then replace it on the pad and heat the pad in the microwave. Is this OK to do? Has anyone tried this? Thanks!

I was just going through posts to file them in the archives and noticed I never responded to this. The answer from the manufacturer was that it is OK to get the cover wet but should not be necessary as the hydrogel pad produces moist heat when microwaved.
