I just noticed that frequent lid massages help me relieve the dry eye pain. Now whenever I feel my eyes hurting, I use my finger to press on the area near the eyelashes gently. This gives me immedate relief. I call this "lid massage". So I kinda use this approach to replace the eye drops. This works better than eye drops for me, because my eyes always become blurry in the first few minutes when using eye drops.
I am diagnosed with Rosacea/MGD. I can understand why this helps me, because the massage help unclog the glands. Have anyone else tried this before? Will the frequent "lid massage" do harm to my eyes? Normally doctors only suggest do the lid scrub/lid massage twice a day...
Ideally I should use the Q-Tips to press my lids, but they are not available in an office environment. Also warm compress should be applied before lid massage, but I cant do warm compress in my office...
