I have tried it.
Last summer, I had 4 treatments over a few weeks. There was some relief but it was short lived.
I had one more treatment a few weeks ago because my lids were in such a mess; despite adhering to a cleaning regime, I couldn't remove the scurfy stuff. The optician remarked that my eyes seemed much worse than they had been when I first went to see him.
My lids aren't too bad at the minute so I will wait and see. I might well return for another treatment; it's an expensive form of maintenance but I can't rule it out.
