Tear protein analysis test and lactoferrin assay test

Hi
Has anybody has these test done for dry eyes. I read that these test can also help in diagnosis of dry eyes. If yes, How these tests are performed? Can I ask my OP to perform these test?
Will appreciate any advice on this.
