I have a flesh-colored unevenly-shaped "bump" on the outer corner of my upper lid margin. I have a few eyelashes growing through it and it is also overlapping onto my eye a little bit. I brought it up to my opthamologist and he said it's a nevus/birth mark. It appeared early in the year and is bothering me more now. I notice sometimes it seems larger, but can't pinpoint why. I tried putting a warm compress on it for a few months thinking it was a chalazion, but nothing happened. I am thinking of going to a lacrimal surgeon for an evaluation since my eye doc said I should ignore it and didn't seem concerned. It bothers me. I worry it's cancer, but I also hate how it looks and its rubbing on my eye drives me crazy. Any thoughts on what it could be or how to handle it? thanks.
