I tried honey(which I cut with water) after some positive reports here and had a terrible reaction to it that took me 3 days on lotemax to straighten out. I did sterilize the honey but I reacted allergically to it.

DO NOT PUT HONEY IN YOUR EYE!

dryeyedave - you made your own formula which is dangerous. http://www.melcare.com/optimel.html is formulated safely and tested on many eyes with no adverse reactions. So yes, you can use honey on your eyes but from a safe accredited pharmaceutical.

I wasn't referencing a drug which is not available in the US I was referring to putting honey in the eye which one member here uses with success. I only post about my experiences and about what works for me.
