Flax seed for Omega 3?

Is it fine if I take flax seeds to get Omega 3?
It is much cheeper, and tastes better then fish pills, and I am also vegeterian.

I'm wondering too. I was searching the forums to see if anyone has posted data that indicate omega fats work. I hope someone who knows answers your question. Good hunting!
