valerian root and passion flower? ok for eyes

are these 2 herbal supplements in vitamins ok to take for the eyes??? i just want to make sure they dont dry them out more or hurt MGD???

Valerian root and Passionflower are fine for dry eyes. They will not make dry eyes worse, in fact, since these herbs stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system they should actually assist with dry eyes! I've been personally taking these herbs regularly for years and have never noticed a problem.

Hi Jenny,

I have taken valerian tincture (prescribed by my naturopath) and have not noticed any drying from it. Also, I found it to be a very mild relaxing aid. My doc mentioned that it can take a couple of days to work.
