I just wanted to update that I was having success with BioTears but had to stop using them due to the nausea and headaches they were causing me. My eyes have been burning more since I stopped taking them. So, I have to choose between nausea/headache or eyes burning..not such a great choice.

enteric coated fish oil prevents nausea and is better absorbed
I have found my dry eye/allergy eye symptoms improved when I went to enteric coated fish oil capsules that are designed to open in the small intestines rather than the stomach. This seems to help nausea associated with taking fish oil capsules as well. I use Fisol by Nature's Way. The bottle states that each capsule is uniquely coated to withstand stomach acid. By dissolving in the small intestine, this maximizes the body's absorption of Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids.

I also like enteric coated...
I personally believe that enteric coated fish oil capsules are great. They do not cuase me any stomach upset, nausea, burp-back, bloating, or any other gastic complaints. BioTears is of course not in an enteric coated delivery system. I was also taking BioTears for some time, but have since found that I tolerate enteric coated so much better that I decided to drop the BioTears and go primarily with enteric coated fish oil only.
I take my enteric coated capsules at least 1 hour after a meat meal, usually two. I simply find that it doesn't disrupt my digestive process (the meat) when i don't drink immediately after or take any supplements immediately after my meal.Jason
