Dosages of Doxy

Does anyone know what a typical dosage of oral doxy is? My doctor prescribed 100mg to take once per day. I see that a lot of people take it twice a day--is it 100mg taken 2x per day or 50 mg taken 2x per day? Thanks

I take 100mg 2x per day. I just went to see Dr. Latkany and he said he would like to see me cut down to 50mg 1x per day. So the next time I see my eye doctor I am going to ask him to switch to the lower dosage. I believe there are some good scientific articles on this forum about this topic as well.

I have taken doxy for several years.

My `maintenance' dose is single 100 mg pill daily although it used to be 200 mg.

My doc had me on 50 mg twice a day for a couple of months. After that, I went down to 50 mg once a day, which I've been on for over 6 months now.

(I don't know if it's making any difference at all.)
