does doxycycline help w/eye redness?

Hi,
My doctor just prescribed doxycycline for me because he said I have a small case of blepharitis with a large problem with red eyes. He said this drug should help with the redness. Has anyone noticed a difference in eye redness after using doxycycline??

if you really have MGD and the doxy helps that the vessels should go away...but I don't Doxy by itself without any specific reason (like in this case MGD) helps the redness..
