erythromycin ophthalmic ointment for lash line?

Hi,
My doctor said to apply erythromycin ophthalmic ointment to the lower and upper lash line and not inside the eye. has anyone on here used it this way to help manage mgd? i was putting it inside my eye! He told me to put it onthe outside but by the lashline

I've used erythromycin but didn't put it inside the eye - I also have MGD.

I have used fucithalmic inside the eye and although it helped intially, it's not good to use it long term.

In my case, it started to sting after a while so I discontinued with it anyway. My eyes are particularly sensitive though.

Hey Irish eyes--thank you..so i do put it on like i would apply eyeliner right?? (ha ha..dont use that anymore!).. i just wanted to make sure i was correct in putting it on the outside of the eye! right? thank you!! i am real sensitive to
