Protopic for MGD

has anyone had success with Tacrolimus for MGD? I read about one poster "pennypane" that got hers into remission with it.

I haven't used Tacro. My doc wouldn't prescribe it because the safety profile is less well known that ciclosporine. My guess is they both work in the same way, by reducing inflammation to help the glands secrete oil. Have you tried ciclosporine? Maybe that's a safer 1st line therapy to try.

Yeah I've been on Restasis for a while. I have ocular rosacea. I've been on Protopic for a week and feel kinda worse so may stop it. It hasn't helped my glands at all.
