Anyone would like to comment on the article above ?
Anyone has any experience with the silicone lenses ? do they work at all ?

Whether or not this drop actually proves to be efficacious in the long term and makes it to market, I think it goes to show that the natural world has much to offer that we have yet to discover. Good find. I don't personally have any experience with the new silicon-hydrogel contacts, but I know that some people have found them very comfortable. Dr. Gemoules, who does Q&A on this site thinks highly of them.

If you mean the silicon-hydrogel lenses--I have tried them and they don't work for me. Dr G (Eli's post) says that dry eye sufferers are about equally divided among those who can or can't wear them.

The main advantage is for people who need the extra oxygen transfer--those who sleep in the lenses. That's something I could never do.
