New drops coming?

Hi,

Was at my eye doc this morning......he mentioned that there may be a new eye drop on the horizon that is supposed to assist lacrimal secretion.....he said he read it in his recent trade magazine.

He said it didn't have a name yet, but that it was heading towards the trials stage in the USA.

Any ideas?

Dunno - there's a lot of them kicking around out there, some already in trials, some heading that way. I glanced through the last couple issues of Eyeworld online and there was surprisingly little about pipeline drugs even in September issue which focused on dry eye.

As far as I know there is nothing on the horizon closer than 2 years away from FDA approval, though.
