  • Dwelle and Dakrina update

Well its been a few days since I have started using the newly delivered drops so I thought I would give an up date. I started using themduring a fairly good period and that has continued with no RCEs to mention.
I have noticed a couple of things with the drops in that I do experience a little discomfort when I first put in the drops but this passes very quickly. The most noticeable thing, particulrly with the Dakrina, is that it congeals very quickly when introduced to my eye. This is to the extent that often my eye sticks together and feels like a lump of goo is in there. I also have very thin strands of the stuff between my eyelashes which is not a good look for me! As I have mentioned this soon passes as well but it is strikingly different from other drops I have tried.
Anyway, in the words of Hippocrates, so far they have done me no harm and I am having a good spell so fingers crossed,

    Take care everyone

I am surprised that you have time to try new drops with all the attention you have had recently.

I certainly hope that you get some relief with them (the drops that is).

Take care and I wish you well.

        Barry,

I'm so glad you clarified what kind of relief you were referring to.

Have you tried Nutratear as well? It's not as heavy and doesn't accumulate like Dwelle. Perhaps some gal from the board would like to personally escort a bottle or two right to your door? Just snap your fingers...

          You know......

I never thought I could get laughs out of a site devoted for dry eyes.

But you have all proven me wrong...many times..

          Natalie

PS Barry, I think you have a devoted following, strands in your eyelashes and all.

A dry eye gal is the best sort of pal.

            Hippocrates and more

So glad, Barry, that nothing untoward has happened, other than the congealing. . .I think you are right on to note that no harm is itself a great start. . .If you're like me, benefits from Dwelle and Dakrina will accumulate over time. . .

I will post this info elsewhere, too. . .but today I got some impressive numbers from my eye doc, after about 7 months on some combination of FreshKote, Dwelle and Dakrina. . .Basically, my tear-break-up time is so far above the zero seconds it used to be, for 10 years, that the doc considered it to be "quite good." He didn't bother to count seconds, but he said that break-up took way more than 1 second. . .This, for someone like me, represents a miracle. . .

Re: NutraTears. . .I'm waiting for input from Dr. Holly, here, on whether using NutraTears could, in any way, reduce the benefits of Dwelle/Dakrina. . .I posed this query because NutraTears is the only non-high oncotic pressure drop in the Dr. Holly line. . .Dr. Holly will reply to this in his special department. . .

In meantime, I will continue to check in way too regularly to see Barry's magnetic avatar, replete with eloquent updates. . .If affection could cure, Barry, your eyes would be too healthy for words . .Sending big hugs. . .

This is true for me, too. I know that after my course of prescription drops expires, I will have a better alternative with Dwelle. It took about six weeks with using Dwelle at least four times each day for me to return as close to normal as I have been after about seven months of problems.

Keep us posted on your progress and usage, Barry. It will give us more chances to view your avatar.
