  • Anybody ever heard of Viva Eye Drops?

My naturopathic doctor prescribed Viva Eye Drops. They are preservative free drops, but do not come in single use vials. It comes in a 10Ml bottle and you discard the bottle after it has been opened for 30 days. The active ingredient is Polysorbate 80 (which I think is a form of Vitamin A??). The doctor said these are beneficial because the drop contains Vitamin A, which aids in tissue healing.

The drops are not very thick. They itch just slightly after I put them in and subsides in a few seconds. They are not super lubricating, but they do tend to relieve mild dryness and for some reason seem to last a bit longer. I use them with an additional regimen of eye drops.

I have never seen them OTC.

Does anybody else use these? Anybody else heard of them?

Thanks!! I hope you are all having a very moist eye day.

    In health,

    MDE

They've been around for many, many years but in very limited distribution so they are not well known. In fact I think the first time I saw them in a drugstore was after moving to the Pacific Northwest, in a Rite Aid. Rite Aid has an amazing selection of dry eye drops - they had several homeopathic ones I'd never even heard of (and I thought I'd seem 'em all ).
