Hi everyone,
One of the products I'm most interested in is Tears Again...the spray (the one that is/was like Clarymist in the UK). But I'm confused about something that I hope you all can clarify for me, please.
Originally, it seems that Tears Again Liposome Spray was the same as Clarymist (with the name changed for commercial reasons). In 10/06, at http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/showthread.php?t=1889, Tony wrote:"The Tears Again Liposomal Eye Spray is one and the same as Clarymist." And in the DEZ Encyclopedia at http://www.dryeyezone.com/encyclopedia/lubricants.html, it says about the (original) Tears Again spray: "We understand this to be equivalent to the Clarymist liposome spray but there is very little information available about it." (And the Ocusoft site still has little info...haven't called them yet, but mfrs are often less helpful than consumers.)
But recently, there have been 2 posts that contradict this. In 1/08, at http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/showthread.php?t=4519, Tony said: "There is also another "me too" product called "Tears Again advanced liposomal eye spray", which if you look at the ingredients lacks any liposome forming components, and instead appears to be made of chelators/binders." And Rebecca added at http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/showthread.php?t=4922: "Tony says it's not the same as Clarymist (and not as good) and frankly I'd take his word for it."
So, my questions are: Has the formula changed from the original Tears Again to the Tears Again Advanced? In 2/07, at http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/showthread.php?t=2803, Pinky listed the ingredients of the original as: Purified water, Lecithin, Ethanol 1%, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol 0.5%. For those who have the Advanced formula package, are the ingredients the same?
Or were Tony and Rebecca maybe referring to the Ocusoft Quintess QuSome spray instead?
Thx in advance for any light you can shed. ~Argee
