Lacrisert drop

Lacrisert ( hydroxypropyl cellulose), has anyone tried this product. I am temporary trying it for a month trail.
It is a sterile, rod-shaped inserted inside the pocket of your eye with a gadget. It thickens the tear film in the eye, no preservative. It is expensive to purchase...M

An update, I have stopped using Lacrisert. It caused inflamation to my eyes and it was very painful. it was red and swollen around the eye. Mario
