Okay, I just tried out the lacriserts but what happened was when I was trying to put them in with the applicator I scraped it against the lower inside part of my eye lid. It hurt really badly and feels now (with the lacrisert out) like it's still scraped. I was wondering if I did scrape the inside of my eye lid if my body will heal that or what?

Yes, if you did scrape your lid it will definitely heal in a few days.
I've just started using Lacriserts and don't use the applicator for just that reason, I was afraid of poking my eye or scraping it too, etc. I've been putting the insert on my damp ring finger and then dropping it into the outer lower lid. If it doesn't go down far enought the first time, I just pull open the lid a bit more and it slides right down there. Hth! -
I use my finger as well. I did exactly what you did. My hand jerked and I literally shoved the thing in my eye. That's applicator is a lethal weapon, certainly not eye friendly. You should feel much better in a day or two.
