Doxy eye drops

Anyone besides me using Doxycicline in eye drops form?
This is the 3rd time around I'm trying them but since I've been having some burning even before the drops I wonder if it is worth the trouble.

I also heard doxy causes thinning of lipid layer or something but don't recall the source....and don't know if it is true.
