I read from the Dry eye archieve that many people got wonderful result from DHEA. But if DHEA eye drops are hard to find, couldn't we buy DHEA supplement ,or it won't have any effect?

I think that topical and systemic use can't really be compared. DHEA drops aren't actually hard to find (most people get them from Leiter's in San Jose) - the issue is getting a doctor to prescribe them. But I think that for patients who have failed with all 'standard' treatment methods, often their doctor would be willing to explore some experimental methods if the results have been reasonably well documented and/or if there is an expert (like Dr. Sullivan or Dr. Pflugfelder) your doctor can consult before they prescribe it.Rebecca Petris
