whats happening with diquafosol now

Hiya

i havent heard any thing about this for a long time now. does anyone have any updates? I know there last study didnt show statistically significant, does this mean its not going to work or get fda approval, ive read posts from people talking about it with so much promise a while ago. They most have found good results earlier on otherwise why would they take it to end of phase 3? And it was almost approved in 2004.

Its encouraging to hear about new drugs that might be approved soon, but then such a disapointment when after years of research it turns out to be not that promising!

Hi Sazy,

The reason it's been so quiet is because Inspire Pharmaceuticals is still waiting for the FDA's response to its latest submission (back in June). According to their latest quarterly report this is expected December 1, so we're just a week away.
