  • A Doxy drop?

    Hi all ... Have any of you doxy users found a drop (or other topical form?) that you're happy with? I'm on a 40 mg daily capsule dose for 6 mos now. Great stuff ... unless you sit next to me at work. It makes me very gassy

    Also, Dr. Latkany is somewhat opposed to the stuff.

    Hi Rob

    Follow this thread for reference to drops - it's posted by Maria1972;

    Unsure what you mean about Dr Latkany being opposed to doxy. He provides a case where it was beneficial (Rick - see pages 131-3)

    He mentions possible downsides to antibiotics but that is the same with anything.

      Doxy drops are available. As far as I know, they can be compounded at Leiter's Pharmacy and shipped to you. http://www.leiterrx.com/ You will need a doc's prescription though. I'm sure Dr. L will write one for you, he prefers doxy drops over oral doxy.

        what was his reasoning if i may ask?
        Which is it? Is it what you know or who you know? Or is it how well you convey what you know to who you know it to?

          Dr. L has told me that he just hasn't seen doxy prove to be that effective in the treatment of MY specific combo of post bleph/mgd. Let me be clear: we're talking only about me. I don't want to start a revolt or be accused of misquoting this wonderfully helpful guy! But some of you who see him should suss out his feelings on the stuff and share with the board. Rob
