One vs. Two

I have been getting treatment for almost 6 months now. I have been on Restasis for 5.5 months. I have lower plugs in both eyes. My left eye is doing great. However, my right eye still burns. Could putting an upper plug in really help that much? I am trying to weigh my options before I go back to the dr. I feel like I am running out of options with still much relief needed. I am getting very worried about this condition. My dr. mention lacriserts last time too. I was wondering if anyone out there has found significant relief from adding an upper plug. Thanks for any insight.

Plus, my doc is retiring. I really hoped this problem would've been under control before he left, but it does not look like it will. I hope the next dr. is a good one.

My left eye makes such a miniscule amount of tears that adding the upper plug only helped a little bit.

My right eye, on the other hand, felt a major improvement with 2 plugs compared to only having the bottom plugged.

My eyes are EXTREMELY dry and in my case going from one plug to two helped a lot. With just one it seemed to do absolutely nothing.
with two it seems that even though i produce just the tiniest bit of tears...at least those tears i produce stay in my eye and give me some relief.

yes.. i have 2 plugs in my left eye as it is my worst eye... i couldnt' believe how much better i felt when i got the upper left plug... a previous doc had told me that upper plugs really dont help.. when i finally got to a good doc he recommended it.. i am so glad i did it!
