Do any of you remember reading that the reason your nose runs when you cry is because the tears go down the punctum's into your nose, well I've heard that and read that for years now, well how can that be cause when I cry there are no tears, but my nose still runs like crazy....it's like my tears are going backwards? Any thoughts on this?

You have really huge puncta due to your previous surgery, right? Maybe the tears are just running out so quickly that they never really appear in your eyes. I have had one eye's puncta snipped (bad bad bad decision!) and that eye's tears drain super fast, even if I'm not blinking. I've "made" myself cry on purpose while looking into a magnifying mirror and watched them drain out, so I know this is happening.
