my cautery is supposedly shut. ihave had 3 docs examine it-and one even put dye in it and said the puncta was shut.. well than why is my eye so extremely dry???? it is painful..... should i see another corneal specialist or an occuplastic surgeon???

You definitely need more help. Try to find some experts in dry eyes. A lot of doctors GPs and ophthalmologists don't know about it so you will have to look for someone. Google for someone in your area. Surgery isn't necessarily the best option for you.
