Hi everyone,
Just curious what anyone thinks about this. I'm still struggling with my punctum plugs scratching my eyes, and I do think they may be helping slightly with some of my symptoms, but I think the irritation they are causing is just creating new symptoms. I'm thinking about asking about the Oasis Form Fit plug, but still not sure I even trust them (I'm pretty scared about intracannicular plugs). Anyway, at the least I think I will have my doctor put in the 90-day dissolvables ones again and then maybe try a combination of uppers and lowers to see how they work out. If I do find that a certain combination of plugs is helping me, then I will want a more permanent solution, and the silicone punctum plugs just aren't tolerable for me. My question is how long after lasik is a reasonable time to get cauterized?? It's been a year since my surgery (with no improvement yet) and my doctor is cautious to do anything that permanent yet. She said it is really easy to do, but a pretty big pain to reverse, which is why she wants to wait. I know if I really wanted it, she would do it, but honestly, I'm trying to stay optimistic too that things will improve for me. I just want reasonable solution so I can get my life back, and I'm so tired of waiting and waiting and trying things and having them fail, etc. I'm sure you all can understand that. If anyone has been cauterized after lasik I would appreicate your opinions on how long to wait. Thanks alot everyone!
