plug fell out after 4 months not 1... doc says prob due to massaging for mgd

so i got a new plug.. hooray..
but doc said to lay off massage and heat for 5 days and to stay away from puncta completley.. he beleives the massaging can cause the plug to fall out.. bummer..

Yep. I knocked out one of mine the same way. I now have cautery in my right eye and am getting it done in my left this week- I like my cauterized ducts much better. But cautery isn't perfect either- mine has opened and had to be redone several times.

me too.. had my left one cauterized 2x in a row lsat year and now a few weeks ago.. so far so good..a new doc of mine did it too-and he was super agressive.
i may do my upper right one ..not sure about the lower ones unless plugs keep falling out.. trying not to get ahead of myself.

and when u knocked yours out was it hours after the compress/massage... mine was way later in the day!
