People who have had external punctal plugs go inside too far, how did it go for you?

Nobody updated their post telling how it went and what was done, I got this plug inside now (I pushed it in because it was loose) and I'm wondering what will happen, will I be able to get it out? How can that be done?

yes you able get it out.doc can out this easily

Update: Doctor thinks it's best to leave it in there until it causes problems.

Sometimes it goes all the way through and ends up in the mouth! That's what happened to one of my friends.

I’ve had two plugs pushed in too far by my doctor. One eventually got infected and itchy then I was able to push it back out. The other never gave me any problems, possibly because it was a smaller plug and is either still in there today or traveled it’s way through my nasal cavity at some point. I still have two working plugs (one in each eye) that have been there for 6 years.
