  • None obvious mgd and punctual plugs

    Hello

My original ophthalmology appointment request came through so I went to see another ophthalmologist yesterday, he was very good and has a lot of empathy for dry eye sufferers.

He told me I have none obvious mgd, he said my glands were not expressing any oil but there was no obvious blockage. He said I've probably had it for over 7 years which sounds right to me.

Has anyone else got none obvious mgd? He said that my gland a concreted shut but could it be case that oil isn't
    Being produced in first place?

I asked if I could have punctual plugs but he said he wouldn't it them in because tears would be running down my face, my schirmer was over 10mm after 3 minutes in both eyes. Has anyone ever got plugs after being told this?

Also does none obvious mgd lead on to obvious mgd?

    Thanks

    Cath

I think I have NOMGD too. Since doctors say i don't have much oil when the glad are expressed, and since my eyelids looks normal. It is loike if i was not producing enough oil.

Well, my drye eyes onset was 3 years ago.
