    Hi Ronnyp,

I just got plugs for the first time about 2 weeks ago (lowers only). I got the temporary ones that are supposed to dissolve in around 3 months. I did have some discomfort the day they were put in and the day after. I think my eyes were just sore from having them inserted though. I was a little disappointed at first because I did not notice a difference in my comfort right away. Anyway, several people on this site, told me that I just needed to give it time, about a week or so, to see if they would help or not. For about the last week now I think I do feel a difference. It is hard to say for sure, since things fluctuate all over the place all the time anyway, but I do think the plugs are helping a little. I guess I'll just have to give it some more time to see for sure. Good luck, and I hope they give you some relief!

When I got my plugs put in it made my tears ducts sore. I could feel an ache between my eyes for a few hours. Then it went away. I did have a hard time adjusting to them though. The right one felt really scratchy for a long time, and it would make my eye bloodshot on that side. After a while though it stopped bothering me. I can still feel it sometimes but it doesn't bother me much anymore.

I got the long term dissolvable ones (duraplugs) put in two weeks ago, and have been very unsatisfied with them. I have not felt really any relief. what is dissapointing is that the collagan plugs gave me alot of relief, and so I had high hopes for the more permanent ones.

I hope you have more luck with them than I have

Untkicker - How long are your temporary plugs supposed to last? When I had the collagen ones, my eyes felt great, so I was expecting big things from the temporary ones I had put in 2 weeks ago. However, I think that I was just having a good week regardless when I had the collagen ones. My eyes fluctuate too much to ever really tell what is helping .

They are supposed to last anywhere from 2-6 months.

Make sure the plugs didn't fall out. And with the fluctuations it is hard to tell. Some times you just need to give it more time.
