Baltimore Cautery

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a doctor from the Baltimore MD area that can successfully cauterize punctal openings? All four of my openings have been cauterized several times due to reopening. I finally traveled to Dr. Tseng in Miami and he cauterized me successfully except for my upper left opening. He had a rough time with it since it was lacerated previously. It has reopened. Dr. Tseng said he would try again, but I would like to find a good doctor in my area in order to reduce the costs.

Unfortunately even the best doctor can't guarantee they will stay closed. You might have a doctor probe and see if an Extended Duration plug could be inserted or something like the OASIS Form Fit plug which is intracanlicular and 90% water. With the tissue already altered that might be your only choice for long term occlusion.
