  • Restasis rookie

Hi all. I've been on Restasis for 33 days now and my eyes are better than they were but far from normal. I've also been on Lotamax, wearing goggles a lot, taking Omega oils, using OTC drops, doing lid scrubs and using Dwell drops at night so who knows what's really helping.

My question is if Restasis inhibits T-cells and it works for someone doesn't that almost automatically mean that person has an auto-immune disorder?
I'm thinking if Restasis works for me that's great as my next options seem to be serum drops or scleral lenses but...will that mean I have Sjogrens?

    hello

Get your blood test for ANA to see if positive for sjogrens - they also usually do a lip biopsy - but some tend to shy away from this - since it hurts like heck - I had it done twice...

I agree with howdryiam about a lip biopsy. My lip is still numb after 3 years. I do also have Sjogrens along with Lasik induced dry eyes. Lasik first, then years later Sjs. I hope Restasis continues to work for you and you don't have to go on to the next option. Lucy
