Restasis Post-LASIK

I am curious - does anyone know why it seems that Restasis does nothing immediately after or in the months following LASIK, but seems to do SOMETHING (sometimes being a miracle cure) when tried again a year or so later? Over and over, on this board and in my (sometimes incessant) Googling, I've seen people say, "It didn't work for me right after LASIK but it works now..."

Perhaps our kind of dry eye begins as one type and then develops into inflammatory dry eye?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
